Hey Hubbers! I am a stay at home mom of 2. My daughter who is 5 and my son is 10 months old. I haven't had a 9-5 in 5 years! My job is to be at home and raise my kids. When my husbands company downsized 2 years ago I thought I was going to have to do what I tried to avoid from day one. That is be forced to go back to the office and put my daughter in daycare. I search and search online for how I could make money to help my husband with living expenses and still stay home with my daughter. I found odd and end jobs here and there but I made it my mission to make sure that we would always live comfortably. I started clipping coupons, searching for deals in almost everything we did and I started saving a lot of money for my family. I saved on everything from grocery shopping, eating out, activities..the list goes on! With the money I saved in 2008 alone on bargin shopping my family and I got to take a week long trip to Disney World. OH! And yes, you guessed it, I saved on that too. I have since planned my own destination wedding, stayed within our budget and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. I have planned events from friends and family on a budget. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Romantic weekend getaways! I take pride in finding the best deals on everything possible. So I decided to start a blog to share the tips and tricks I have learned over the past few years. Hopefully they benefit you as much as they have for my family and I!
